THS 2016 Meets High Hardware Demand Across Asia
Asia’s rapid industrial development has triggered widespread demand for large quantity of hardware required in key industries such as automotive, construction, electronics and other thriving economic areas. With a growing middle class and higher disposable income across Asia Pacific’s emerging markets, the region has recorded strong increase in consumer expenditure on maintenance and repairs for household. On the retail front, robust price, good sales and quality awareness in the buyers’ market have raised competition amongst OEM producers to provide market-trending hardware and DIY goods. Global hardware spending is expected to rise to USD 1,100.2 billion in 2018, with Asia Pacific as the most active market. Closing in on the home construction sub-sector, the global builders and cabinet hardware market is projected to reach USD 18.1 billion in 2020, with Asia Pacific as the fastest growing market at 8.1%. Ranking 3rd in global hardware export value, Taiwan is an established manufacturing hub with strong raw materials supply, top-notch processing as well as R&D infrastructure and innovation-focused production systems. Providing quality products with competitive prices, Taiwan contributes over one fifth of the world’s hardware needs. Held in Taichung - home to 70% of Taiwan’s 2,300 hardware manufacturers, THS therefore gives visitors direct access to production sites of major OEM and ODM brands through organized factory visits. Other participating companies comprising hardware manufacturers, inventors, distributors and suppliers will provide a fruitful experience for serious buyers to procure the best of Taiwan’s hardware inventions at THS 2016.
