iMT Taiwan 2016 unveiled top technologies from Asia’s metal industry leaders

With 137 exhibiting companies from 15 countries, International Metal Technology Taiwan (iMT Taiwan) 2016 concluded with high spirits. For three days, iMT Taiwan hosted 5,082 visits of industry professionals and buyers from all over the world, and showcased premium technologies worthy of Taiwan’s reputation as the region’s metal manufacturing hub. Augmented with the full-house Asia Steel Forum, the successfully synchronized events achieved its aim to transform Asia’s steel industries from mere production centers to become centers of information and technologies. 

“This year’s edition of iMT Taiwan focused on connecting and building new relationships between metal industry professionals. We are happy to see the visitors find the exhibition to be enlightening and had facilitated new business partnerships,” shared Mr. Gerd Keim, President of Kaigo Co., Ltd and organizer of iMT Taiwan. According to Mr. Danny Lai from Tazimac., Ltd., “We want to use iMT Taiwan as a platform for new product launch. All visitors come by our booth are important professional buyers. We received four orders at the first day already. This is a great result for us.” 

Asia’s Metal Technology Industry Poised for Bright Future 


Catering to market needs for fresh injections of top-grade equipment, high-performing machinery, quality solutions and high in-demand products, Taiwanese top metal industry players namely China Steel, Yieh United Steel Corp., Henkel Taiwan Ltd., Chun Yu Biotech, Tazimac., Ltd. and many others featured their latest innovations. Amongst the main crowd pullers at the exhibition are Henkel’s cutting fluids, abstract materials from Yieh United Steel, and metal injection molding from Chun Yu Biotech. 

Mr. Nitikorn Jamlongchat from Pandora Production of Thailand who visited iMT Taiwan for the first time shared that, “This is our first time to attend this exhibition and our first time in Taiwan. Before this, we never have business with Taiwan. We decided to come to Taiwan because we find this exhibition quite interesting, directly relate to our work.” In total, 13 countries had been represented from the visitors count.

This year, 16.6% of visitors indicated that they sought to identify Engineering & Material Science product the most. Other technologies showcase favorites included Metal Forming Technology and Heat Treatment & Processing. 

The exhibition presented a comprehensive range of machinery and equipment, processing solutions and advanced technologies dedicated for both the domestic market and international buyers. In the effort to help metal industry professionals get through current market challenges, the iMT Taiwan workshops invited experts to share their latest technologies as well as successes stories, and they provided opportunities for companies to collaborate with academic institutions to enhance their business competitiveness. 

With the strong support of the Kaohsiung City Government and Messe Düsseldorf, iMT Taiwan offered international metal industry professionals a place to experience Taiwan’s hospitality and top-quality business services. Visitors who toured the factories located within close proximity to the exhibition, saw first-hand Taiwan’s manufacturing capabilities to produce some of the world’s best metal products with excellent quality for international markets. iMT Taiwan 2017 will again held at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from Dec. 6-8, 2017.
