As the long term partner of the Indonesian Furniture Industry & Handicraft Association (ASMINDO). iFMAC will be held in conjunction with IFFINA (International Furniture & Craft Fair Indonesia), the biggest annual furniture fair in Indonesia. In the best interests of all our participants, we plan to cooperate with the Ministry of Industry of The Republic of Indonesia, ASMINDO, Indonesian Sawmill and Wood Working Association, Lunjiao Woodworking Machinery, Indonesia Rattan Furniture And Craft Association & Indonesian Wood Panel Association for joint promotional activities. There will be approximately 70 exhibitors, coming from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Taiwan & China…total over 150 booths.

Indonesian furniture, renowned and appreciated for its unique design and natural style, symbolizes a relaxing and elegant lifestyle. Being one of the largest furniture exporting countries in the world, Indonesia exported USD $2.65 billion in 2008, of which wood furniture accounted for more than two-thirds. However, in 2009, influenced by the global economic slow down, orders from main buyers such as America, Japan, and the Netherlands decreased significantly. Consequently, the Indonesian furniture industry turned to the Middle East and the European markets to discover new opportunities. As a result of this effort, 27 countries from the EU have promised to increase furniture import from Indonesia. Ambar Tjahyono, Chairman of ASMINDO has a very positive outlook for the Indonesian furniture industry in 2012. According to him, traditional buyers have gradually increased their demand more and more along with the recovery of the global economy. What's more, the Indonesian government predicts 7% economic growth in 2011. All of this, indicate that Indonesian furniture manufacturers will actively seek out quality manufacturing machines, tools, and components.

1. iFMAC 2012 aims to assist quality manufacturers of woodworking machines and suppliers of furniture components to increase their market exposure in Indonesia.
   
2. iFMAC 2012 will co-promote and be held in conjunction with IFFINA 2012- the biggest annual furniture fair in Indonesia, achieving better media and exhibition value as well as making the joint effort truly international.
3. iFMAC 2012 provides exhibitors with the opportunity to talk directly with potential buyers. As a result, exhibitors will have a better understanding of the structure and the needs of the local market, which will increase the chance of business cooperation.
